Keneland Automation Advisor (the "Extension") is a Google Chrome extension published by Keneland LLC ("Keneland", "we", "us"). It helps Salesforce admins and architects decide whether and how to automate a business process. It works offline with a built-in rules engine, or with a large language model (LLM) provider that you connect using your own API key.
This policy covers only the Extension. Our website is covered by the Keneland LLC Privacy Policy.
The short version
- Keneland collects nothing from the Extension. There are no Keneland servers, no accounts or sign-in, and no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising or tracking.
- Your settings and API keys stay in your browser, on your device.
- When you connect a provider and press Send, your message goes directly from your browser to that provider. Keneland is never in that path. The Extension shows which provider will receive it before you send.
- Your API key is only ever sent to the provider and address you saved it for.
- Voice dictation is off until you turn it on. If you do, Chrome sends your microphone audio to Google to transcribe it.
Information stored on your device
The following is stored locally in your Chrome profile and is never sent to Keneland:
| Information | Why | How it's protected | How to delete it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your LLM provider API keys | To call the provider you selected | You choose how it's kept. Encrypted on this device (AES-256-GCM with a non-exportable key generated in your browser) or until the browser closes (memory only). Each key is bound to the provider and address it was saved for: if you change a custom or Azure address to a different host, the saved key is not sent, and you'll be asked for the key for the new host. Keys are never shown again after saving, never put in web addresses, and never logged. | Settings → Forget saved key or Clear all settings, or uninstall the Extension |
| Connection settings (provider, address, region, model, version) and cached model lists | To remember your choices | Stored locally; contain no keys | Clear all settings, or uninstall |
| Whether you enabled voice dictation | So you're only asked once | Stored locally | Uninstall the Extension |
| Your conversation, attachments and captured page text | To prepare your next message | Kept in memory only while the side panel is open; never saved to storage | Close the side panel |
Clear all settings removes every saved key, setting and cached list, and also resets the Extension's encryption key. Uninstalling the Extension deletes everything it stored.
Information that leaves your device, and only when you act
Your chosen LLM provider
When a provider is connected and you press Send, the Extension sends the following directly to that provider:
- your message;
- the recent conversation;
- the advisor's instructions;
- any attachments or captured page text you added.
Load models and Verify connection send your API key, and for Verify a one-line test prompt, to the same provider. Requests are not allowed to redirect to other servers. Nothing is sent until you take one of these actions, and Chrome asks your permission the first time the Extension contacts each provider.
The Extension available on the Chrome Web Store can connect only to the providers below, and only if you select them:
| Provider | Address contacted | Provider's privacy information |
|---|---|---|
| OpenAI | api.openai.com or eu.api.openai.com | https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy |
| Anthropic | api.anthropic.com | https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy |
| Google Gemini API | generativelanguage.googleapis.com | https://policies.google.com/privacy |
| Microsoft Azure OpenAI | your own Azure resource (.openai.azure.com, .cognitiveservices.azure.com, .services.ai.azure.com) | https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement |
| Amazon Bedrock | Bedrock in the AWS region you choose | https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/ |
| xAI | api.x.ai | https://x.ai/legal/privacy-policy |
| DeepSeek | api.deepseek.com | see deepseek.com |
| Mistral AI | api.mistral.ai | https://mistral.ai/terms |
| OpenRouter | openrouter.ai | https://openrouter.ai/privacy |
| Groq | api.groq.com | see groq.com |
| Together AI | api.together.xyz | see together.ai |
| Fireworks AI | api.fireworks.ai | see fireworks.ai |
| A model server on your own computer (e.g. Ollama, LM Studio) | localhost / 127.0.0.1 | stays on your device |
Each provider handles your data under its own terms and privacy policy, which you agreed to when you created your API key. That includes whether prompts are retained or used for training, and where data is processed. For OpenAI, the Extension asks that responses not be stored. Review your provider's data controls before sending confidential or regulated information.
Organizations that receive a privately distributed build of the Extension may also be able to connect it to their own company AI gateway. In that case data goes only to the gateway the user enters and approves.
Page content: only when you click "Capture page"
Capture page reads the title, address and visible text of the current tab, and only on Jira or Confluence Cloud (atlassian.net), Linear, Asana, monday.com or Trello. The first time you use it, Chrome asks you to allow access to those sites; the Extension has no access to any other site. The captured text appears as an attachment you can review or remove. It goes to your chosen provider only if you press Send. The Extension never reads pages on its own.
Attachments
Files you attach (text, HTML, images, PDFs; up to 2 MB each) are read in your browser and sent only with your next message to your chosen provider. Images and PDFs are sent only to providers that support them; otherwise they stay in your browser.
Voice dictation: optional, processed by Google
Voice dictation is off by default. The first time you press the microphone button, the Extension explains that Chrome's speech recognition sends your microphone audio to Google to transcribe it, and asks whether to enable it. If you agree, audio is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. Keneland never receives your audio. Speak replies reads answers aloud using only voices installed on your device, so reply text is not sent to a voice service.
Optional share service
If you set up your own secure share address and choose to share a report, the report text and diagram description are sent there after you confirm. API keys and attachments are never included. Without a share address, Share creates a link that contains the report itself and contacts no service.
What Keneland receives
Nothing. Keneland LLC runs no servers for the Extension and receives no personal information, API keys, prompts, page content, files, audio, usage statistics or crash reports. Links to keneland.com or provider documentation open as normal web pages only when you click them.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy (Limited Use)
The use of information received through the Extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the Extension's single purpose: advising on Salesforce automation with the model provider you choose. It is not sold, not shared with anyone other than the provider you direct it to, not used for advertising, not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending, and not read by people at Keneland.
Children
The Extension is a professional tool for business users. It is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age where you live.
Security
The Extension is built on Chrome's Manifest V3 platform with a strict content security policy and no remotely hosted code. It asks for access to provider and project-management sites only when you use those features. No storage or transmission method is perfectly secure, so use a dedicated, least-privilege API key and remove it when you no longer need it.
Your choices
You control all information the Extension handles. You can disconnect a provider, forget a key, clear all settings, leave voice dictation off, remove site access in Chrome's extension settings, or uninstall the Extension. Because Keneland holds no data about you from the Extension, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For information sent to a provider, contact that provider.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above and publish the new version at this address. Material changes will also be noted in the Extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
